5. Agra Fort India
The Agra Fort is one of the 37 world heritage sites in India. The fort was the home for the Emperors of Mughal dynasty until the year 1638. The place is located just 2.5 km away from the famous Taj Mahal. Agra Fort can be described as a walled City. There are a number of historical buildings inside the walls of the Agra Fort. The most important ones include the Moti Mahal that is a beautiful white marble mosque, Diwan e am – it was the Hall of public where the emperor used to address the normal public. Diwan E khaas- Monument was used by the emperor for reception of important guests such as nobles, Kings, ambassadors. Another beautiful building is the glass palace, Sheesh Mahal. Khaas Mahal Jehangiri mahal are some other important buildings that display Mughal architecture.

Rani ki vav is an exceptionally beautiful steepwell situated in Patan of Gujarat. The steepwell was added in the list of the world heritage sites by UNESCO in the year 2014. The steeple was built by queen Udaymati of the Chaulukya Dynasty. Will was commissioned in the year 1063, it took 20 years for the monument to be constructed. This steepwell is the finest and the largest example of its kind. It has seven levels with 500 primary sculptures along with some minor ones.
The monument is designed as an inverted Temple. The historical place is a must visit for its stellar architecture and craftsmanship.
Hampi also known as Temple town is located in Northern Karnataka. The historical place was the capital of Vijayanagari empire in the 14th century. The town, a world heritage site, is the largest open air museum. The ruins are spread in an area of 29 square kilometres. The main attractions of Hampi can be divided in two areas: Hampi Bazzar Area and Royal Center. Some of the major attractions in Hampi Bazar Area is Virupaksha Temple- It is a shrine dedicated to a form of Lord Shiva, Lord Virupaksha. The next attraction is Hemakuta Hill, it has a sculpture of Lord Narasimha, Jain Temples and ancient ruins. The next tourist attraction is Vittal Temple.
The major attraction of the Royal Center is Lotus Mahal. There’s also an archaeological museum in Kamalpuram.
2. Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal also known as Palace of Breeze was built in the year 1799 by Maharaja Kawai Pratap Singh. The palace has 953 small windows. The palace is a 5 storey monument built in pyramid shape. Hawa Mahal is 50 feet tall and is aesthetically very beautiful. Hawa Mahal is surely a must see historical monument.
1. Taj Mahal
This Historical monument needs no mention. Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of the monument started in the year 1632 and was completed in 1948. The monument is one of the seven wonders of the world. The white marble palace is located near the banks of Yamuna River in Agra. The place is one of the most visited historical place in India.
